Another great week at our home away from home. We are blessed to be able to spend so many years surfing, watching the sunsets and our kids growing up in this amazing place. We are sad to go but looking forward to returning. Stand outs of this trip were - Seeing day 1 of the Haleiwa Challenge - Our first Thanksgiving on the North Shore - Big Thanksgiving swell and great surfing - Jenny's Shrimp, our fave always! Hale Moana - the House by the Sea is majestic to say the least. We had an incredible stay here with our mothers. My mom is 85 and this was her first trip to Hawaii and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. You are amazing hosts! We loved the location, loved the view, spectacular, and being able to enjoy the beach, searching for seaglass and snorkeling all in our backyard. We will definitely stay here again.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. On our trip we swam w/ sea turtles, saw dolphins during a sunset cruise, soaked up the sun and got engaged! This was a rebooked trip from 2020 and could not have come at a better time. We have been able to recharge and enjoy 10 blissful days w/ friends in truly one of the most magical settings. If you're reading this you are lucky to find yourself in the Hale by the Sea. Don't forget to grab a fresh poke bowl, crack a beer and kick back and relax. See you next time Hale. <3

This was an amazing experience. From the wow factor when you first walk in, to the very last minute before we left it was amazing. We can't thank you enough for sharing this space with us and the rest of all guests. We will definitely be back one day and already have friends and family looking into booking their vacation here. Mahalo Sandi, we had a wonderful time here. It was our first trip to Hawaii, hopefully we can do it again. Your house was so warm and inviting, it felt like home. You left no questions unanswered. The views were amazing. The water so clear. We did not have to go far to do some exploring. The reef was fascinating. Thank you so much for the coffee and wine, and all the little touches.

Mahalo! We loved being here at your home and appreciate all the hard work you do to make your guests feel at home. My boys loved the geckos and we enjoyed the sunsets and unbelievable scenery. We went to the beach, loved Waimea Bay. Check out the the amazing turtles and felt the surfer history of North Shore. We loved checking out Pipeline and the other breaks and hope to return in the winter to watch the epic waves! Thank you again, we had an amazing time.

Thank you for sharing your hale at the beach! We had a wonderful time catching up with family we hadn't been able to see the past couple of years. Being on the beach enjoying the beauty was better than any medication a doctor could prescribe!! Our children finally are old enough to always remember this stay! Mahalo for the hospitality! There is no better place to enjoy Oahu - We waited way too long for our 2nd visit (14+ years?) to your home, but thankfully we were already able to reserve our stay for next summer : ) ! We snorkeled all over the North Shore (my sons love cave diving), did the climb works zip line tour (FUN) and bbq'd the most delicious fresh fish dinners (better than my meal at Beach House restaurant). Thank you for all the kitchen supplies - we used the rice cooker often. I loved my early morning walks on the beach and am amazed how few people I see during this time. This was 10 days of serenity and rest which was so needed after the past year teaching during COVID. Thank you, thank you.

Thank you for sharing your home! We enjoyed our stay, truly memorable! We went to the tide pool daily and my family snorkeled, finding a sea turtle, sea urchin, puffer fish, sword fish, baby squid, and many other beautiful fish. We felt spoiled staying here. Temps in the high 80's - you're correct, keep windows open, close the blinds - it helps keep house cooler. The sunsets - amazing! What a blessing! Thank you again! Mahalo!
Future guests - tide pool is over to your right when facing the ocean. Rougher waves to your left and not fun snorkeling & swimming.

We had a wonderful stay here at Hale Moana. Saw several turtles just over the seawall and must've jumped in and out of the water 50 different times with our 3 year old daughter, Eleanor. Many times during our week long stay here exclaimed "this is the best day ever. " Watching first light hit the waves until the last ray of sun at night was great, every single day. We hope we can come back sooner than later.

What a beautiful spot to enjoy a vacation with extended family. It was a great home base for exploring the North Shore and beyond! We enjoyed the yard, walking to the beach, snorkeling and watching the surfers and whales. Perfect! Mahalo. P.S. Thank you for your attention to every little detail. Our family enjoyed our stay very much. Having coffee in the morning watching the surfers play in the waves. Snokeling to the right of the beach in the beautiful water. What a wonderful vacation!!! Despite the floods, brown water and loads of rain, we found the happiness that can always be found in Oahu. Mahalo for sharing your home with its breathtaking views and sweet, comforting ambiance. My boys loved watching the surfers every morning, walking the beach for seashells and dancing around the churning shore break waves. My ML loved all the sunrises and we all enjoyed the gorgeously radiant rainbows spanning the horizon of the backyard. My husband & I loved the ocean view room and hearing the crashing & rhythmic waves at night. We traveled all over the island, touring places, visiting sunnier beaches and enjoying time w/ family who live here. It was always nice to return to your home! We'd love to come again!!! Love..

This was our third visit to Hale Moana after living in Hauula almost 30 years ago. It is a beloved place for our family - a place we dream of between visits. Everything we come to the North Shore for is right in the front yard: the ocean, surfers, turtles, whales and sunsets! This past week there were catastrophic floods in Hawaii. We were so grateful for the safe haven of Hale Moana which allowed us to enjoy our favorite activities while seeking shelter with a magnificent view during the rains. Another set of wonderful memories made in our favorite House by the Sea! Incredible whale watching!! Sightings all day every day. Blowholes, backs, pec & tail slaps & breaches!! We always bring a couple sets of binoculars to Hale Moana : ) Mahalo and much love.

Thank you so much for letting us stay at this beautiful home while in Hawaii! There was so much stress and unknown while planning our trip during COVID (restrictions) - but this home was the one thing we didn't have to stress or worry about. Thank you Sandi for the constant communication and attention to detail! (Also - thank you for "having" to call me - I absolutely forgot to print out the attachments... with instructions on entering the home. So sorry!) The house was above and beyond what we were expecting (your pictures online don't... or possibly can't... capture it's beauty completely). We have loved LOVED our chill, calm days and nights at your home. We will miss being here so much and will definitely be planning to return! Our family of six had plenty of room, played at the beach all day, and enjoyed eating prepared meals here. We even feel we have our own entertainment - getting to watch the surfers each day! Thanks a million! We can't wait to get back! : )

Oh my goodness! What a spectacular view! We loved every minute of our stay. We watched the waves go from holy shit huge to calm as could be in a matter of days. We saw whales fighting in the distance and enjoyed the surfers catching the waves. We traveled the island to see all it had to offer, caught our first marlin on a fishing trip, went to a luau and climbed the stairway to heaven at Koko Head. Everything was fantastic!!
